Heal's

Heal's

Really friendly and helpful staff, it's expensive, but there are good finds to be found. The lighting department in particular is something dreams are made of, with those filamentous light bulbs in every size and shape imaginable. It's also home to the famous spiral stair case which is probably the most photographed set of stairs in London. If your in the area, you must see it. Read more...

Muji

Muji

Now that it's had a makeover the store is really plush and spacious. I like Muji stuff, although it can be expensive. Staff here are helpful, as far as Muji goes - this is quite a big one and much larger than Covent Garden. Checkout the vaporizers upstairs, and the bedding. It's the best things from Muji I think. Read more...

Made Showroom

Made Showroom

Really plush retail store for the online furniture company. They have a vast selection of posh looking designer homeware, but at very reasonable prices. I can't attest to the long term quality of the stuff, but it certainly looks very high end. It's a modern shop with loads of funky stuff to photo, they use these Android tablets that use NFC price tags. You just tap the tablet against a product you like, and all its configuration info and pricing information shows up - the future! Worth coming in for a wander around. Read more...

Apple Store Covent Garden

Apple Store Covent Garden

Sure it's an Apple Store. But it's turning into a run down tourist attraction. A store that only has 3 of its latest iMacs on display. Staff just stand around talking to each other oblivious to genuine customers around them. This place is just for tourists to play with the latest iPhone. Go during the day or book a one on one appointment is a must. Been here for repairs and sales many times of the years, so it's very disappointing to get such poor service. Read more...

Burlington Arcade

Burlington Arcade

Lots of instagram opportunities for this well preserved and elegant arcade. Seems to consists entirely of a jewelry stores, and one rather decadent macaroon shop at the end. It's beautiful and quaint. Read more...

Kingly St

Kingly St

Hidden gem. This beautiful little courtyard is stacked high with little shops, restaurants, cafes, tea rooms etc. Even a yoga place. This is a wonderful location for date night. At Christmas time it's kitted out with decorations and lights. The pizza place here on the ground floor is my favorite. It can be a quieter here in the late evening so it's nice and personal. Perfect location for an Instragrammer. Read more...

Wahaca: One New Change

Wahaca: One New Change

Inside the plush shopping precinct, this place is nice and quiet at the evenings and weekends. It's busier during the day when the office people are about. It's one of the nicer and smaller branches so the staff can give you much more attention here (like the Soho branch which is always crazy busy). There are lots of vegetarian options. Always checkout the specials as they change often. I usually get 2 or 3 dishes for myself. Read more...
