PizzaBuzz

PizzaBuzz

Tucked away on a side street this a vegetarians dream. They have so many available toppings for the pizzas. £1 each you can pick from a really long list of ingredients on that are added in front of you (Subway style) onto a pizza base of your choice. I had sweet potato, squash, broccoli, and beetroot. It was delicious and I can't wait to go back for another one. They cook it and call your number out or bring to a table. They have free WiFi and the place is quite large. It would be good for large spontaneous groups. Cost wise, about £10 per person will get you a big pizza and a drink. To drink they have one of those cool multi Coke machines which seems to be able to make every kind of flavour. I recommend the Peach Sprite Zero! If you like Pizza Union, you'll like it here. Read more...

Ozone Coffee Roasters

Ozone Coffee Roasters

Busy popular, one of the best spots in the area, there is often a short wait for a table - otherwise it's takeaway only service, there is no quick bar or laptop club. They have a all day brunch style menu (similar to Gails). The coffee is what a lot of people come for. It was totally delicious, a Soy Spiced Chai Latte looked like it had been painted - it was literally perfectly poured. They have a cabinet with deserts, some nice doughnuts (I think they're from Crosstown, not sure) and some other treats I recommend. In summer it would be an amazing place to come since the windows slide open, gives of a very New York vibe about it, especially since it's on a very bricky side street. The staff are all rushed of their feet but very friendly. They're also dog friendly, and saw a lot of people bringing their adorable dogs here! Read more...

Kamps

Kamps

A German bakery, friendly staff, a massive amount of choice, excellent value for money. The great thing about London is the choice and variety. Nowhere in London could you find baked goods like these. I don't know if they're native German foods or anything, but wherever they originated, they're delicious. I always go for a reasperry and crumble thing folded over like a Calzone with icing, and a coffee to go. It's perfect if you're strolling up and down Tottenham Court Road or studying in the area. There is plenty of seating. I'd go here for lunches and snacks as opposed to setting up camp with my laptop. Read more...

Pie Minister

Pie Minister

Tucked away, but full of options. British pies with mash, peas and gravy. The mothership is delicious, and very vegetarian friendly. They usually have one or two good veggie options, and nothing boring like mushroom. There is no space to eat inside, but have a outdoor patio which is open to the elements. A full meal with all the trimmings comes in at about £8. Or about £5 for just the pie. I just get simple mash and gravy. The gravy is also vegetarian. Read more...

Gail's Artisan Bakery, Bankside

Gail's Artisan Bakery, Bankside

These guys are super friendly and do a mean Almond Chai Latte which I very very much suggest you get. The place in general is full of baked goodies. The cinnamon swirl is a good staple. All the stuff is baked fresh every day. So there is always something on offer. It gets busy on weekends, I usually get the simple scrambled eggs on toast. The Bankside area in general is quite suited for this kind of place, since it's open, modern, and chic. Read more...

Wellcome Collection

Wellcome Collection

I think this has to be one of my favourite spots on London. I've come here many many times over the years and never cease to be amazed. The quality of this place in terms of the intellectual and fascination exhibitions about the human body and experience make it one of the most unique modern museums I've ever seen. There are so many interactive things to do. There is also an entire human genome printed into books, lots and lots of books. Many people here just grab a bean bag and chill, have coffee, work, study. Outside are sculptures made entirely of science equipment like test tubes and pipets. If you have even a passing interest in science or medicine, then check this place out asap. Read more...

DF/Mexico

DF/Mexico

Delicious veggie burrito and unlimited horchata on tap. What's not to love. In a kind of Wahaca (it's made by the wahaca people) meets Nandos. It's a beautiful restaurant, but with a more express feel to it - you go up to the counter and order, of if you're brave like me, use the fast self service till. The customer service here has been excellent every time. The designers also get a thumbs up as the venue itself is done up really smartly, and quite unique for London. Highly recommend. Read more...

Heal's

Heal's

Really friendly and helpful staff, it's expensive, but there are good finds to be found. The lighting department in particular is something dreams are made of, with those filamentous light bulbs in every size and shape imaginable. It's also home to the famous spiral stair case which is probably the most photographed set of stairs in London. If your in the area, you must see it. Read more...

Muji

Muji

Now that it's had a makeover the store is really plush and spacious. I like Muji stuff, although it can be expensive. Staff here are helpful, as far as Muji goes - this is quite a big one and much larger than Covent Garden. Checkout the vaporizers upstairs, and the bedding. It's the best things from Muji I think. Read more...
